I am going to be the fifth person of my graduating class (June '08) to have a baby!!!

April 10th Scare

On April 10th I had woken up feeling not so great....I concluded it was just from being pregnant. Then around 4pm or so I started having sharp painfully cramps, like menstrual cramps. I said to myself this cant be normal. Called my doctors office and the on-call dr. advised me to go to the labor room. So we did.

They hooked my belly up to the machine and saw that I was in fact having contractions. That scared me because at the time I was 5 1/2 months.

They tested my urine to see if I had a bladder infection....nope!! But they did notice I was SLIGHTLY dehydrated so they hooked me up on an IV and pumped some fluids in me. They also gave me 2 DOSES of the shot that stops contractions.

They sent me home after 4 hrs. And mommy and baby are fine!!!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

On March 16 2010 Joseph and I found out that we were having a Baby Girl! Shes healthy!!! According to the doctor she is in the 81% tile. So she weighs more than other babies do at this stage. Her heart, brain, and spine look good too!! THANK YOU GOD!!! Here are 6 out of 8 Sonagram Pics!!! ENJOY!!!

First Trimester Done...into my Second Now!!

The first trimester of my pregnancy had its ups and downs. I didn't start getting "morning sickness" until I was 9 weeks. It wasn't bad at all. I probably got "SICK" 10-12 times max! So I'm blessed for that. The two problems I did have though were fatigue and SMELLS!!!!!!!

I knew it took alot of energy to make a baby.....I just didnt realize HOW MUCH!!! LOL!!! I was tired all the time and cranky!! Smells are my enemy!!! I hate it!!!! Foods that I use to love I can't eat anymore because of the scent it has. It sucks!!!

Now that I'm 16 weeks(4 months) along in my pregnancy I still feel tired all the time. Smells are still bothering me! I've been having more intense cravings! I've also been feeling little flutters once in a while!!!:) And I'm getting a BELLY!! Which Joseph is loving!!

We had our second doctor's appointment on Feb.16th and it was just to check the heartbeat, which according to the doctor sounded fabulous!!! We love to hear our baby!!!

Our next doctor appointment will be on March 16th and they will be doing an ultrasound. WE CAN'T WAIT!!! We are stoked to see our baby and to also find out what gender our baby is!! So until my next update.....take care!!! oh and what do you think???

Heartbeats are Amazing!!!

So today we had our doctor appointment for BABY!!!

I was so nervous. Believe it or not I'm super modest and the thought of someone touching my boobs or looking down there freaks me out. Can you say ANXIETY ATTACK!!

Then came time too hear the heartbeat with the doppler machine. And OH MY GOODNESS it amazed me!!! It was beating SO FAST!!!! The doctor said, "IT'S PERFECT, 160 beats per minute!!!" That was a relief!!! and Joseph even got a little teary eyed!!

We cant wait to see our baby with the ultrasound. We have to wait 8 more weeks! And we should be able to know what were having too!!! Which is exciting!! Next doctor appointment is february 16th.

1st of many Dr. Appointments for BABY

So yesterday I had an appointment to just give my family health history and mine. Everything was going great until the nurse got all serious about my blood type being A Negative.

I guess my blood doesnt have a certain antigen. So if the baby has positive blood and its blood gets into my negative bloodstream my body will start fighting our baby.

Its sad. I will always have this concern with every pregnancy I have. All I can do is pray and have faith that my higher power will take great care of our baby and me.

Next Dr. appointment will be January 12th. I'm looking forward to it because we get to see our baby through the ultrasound. To be honest though I'm not looking forward to the doctors cold hands on my breasts, or getting probed "down" there. We shall see how all of it pans out.
